Feeder protection is defines as the protection, which work as the shield guards and making sure that power grid must be supply the energy continually. The feeder will help to inject the power energy from the substation to the load end. So, it is one of essential protection relays in the feeder from the various types of fault. There is some requirement for feeder protection relay to make run at power system –

• ·        Whenever short circuit going to happen at electrical power system, that time circuit breaker must be close to the fault and should be open and all other circuit breaker remain in closed position.
• ·        We need to set small operating time to maintain the system stability.
• ·      When fault going to occurs on the protective feeder, the feeder protection device will select and isolate the defective feeder while the other instantly assumes the increased load.
